Sustainability rating
Hotel Cleofe has achieved a sufficient number of practices to obtain the Imprendigreen recognition from Confcommercio Imprese per l'Italia, aimed at rewarding voluntary commitment to sustainability.
Particular attention has been paid to food sustainability with a breakfast served in a way to minimize waste, using homemade products and, as much as possible, locally sourced.
The provision of a free microfiltered drinking water dispenser helps reduce the use of plastic bottles.
The water consumption itself is taken into account by using dual-flush toilets, water-saving faucets, and planting plants in green areas that do not require abundant irrigation.
Home automation adjustments for air conditioning and lighting contribute to energy savings.
Coat and double-glazed windows allow for good thermal and acoustic insulation.
Recycled materials are welcome, as well as Ecolabel products for cleaning spaces and personal hygiene.

Hotel Cleofe has obtained the DNV certification for the "Guide to Eco-Sustainable Hospitality" by EcoWorldHotel and has been awarded 3 eco-leaves.
Our Environmental Policy represents our daily commitment to respecting both the environment and people.
We aim to ensure that all our guests are aware of our eco-sustainable initiatives and can join us in contributing to the preservation of our territory.
All the environmental criteria outlined in our Environmental Policy have been certified and are verified annually by the international certification body DNV.
DNV is defined as a third-party organization, independent from both us and EcoWorldHotel. This is because we strongly believe that our commitment should be certified by external professionals to guarantee our customers the highest level of transparency and credibility in what we do.

All the hotel rooms are treated with OZONCLEAN.
OZONCLEAN is an innovative sanitization system capable of purifying the environment by oxidizing germs, bacteria, spores, pollen, molds, chemical vapors, and fumes.
OZONCLEAN is a newly designed ozone generator that ensures complete inactivation of all microorganisms and the elimination of toxic residues. The reduction of germs and bacteria also has the positive effect of deodorizing the environment by quickly neutralizing various unpleasant odors.
It is primarily used for its ability to sterilize air, water, surfaces in general, and for the preservative disinfection of foodstuffs.
The use of OZONCLEAN results in an improvement in the air quality of the treated areas in terms of chemical composition, bacterial activity, and fragrance. After treatment, the ozone reverts back to oxygen without leaving any residue.
Ozone has been recognized by the Ministry of Health (protocol no. 24482 dated 31/07/1996) as a "natural measure for sterilizing environments contaminated by bacteria, viruses, spores, molds, and/or infested by mites, spiders, insects, etc."

The Hotels For Trees Foundation contributes directly to a greener hotel industry, where a new tree is planted every time a guest chooses to skip daily room cleaning. By participating in this initiative, Hotel Cleofe pays a fixed fee of €5.00 for each room that is not cleaned.
